CORPORATE CARPOOLING

Zurich International School

Zurich International School aims to teach students about sustainability, while also leading by example. That’s why the school has added carpooling to its sustainability efforts.

From the 2023/24 school year, ZIS is offering carpooling on its two sites, in Wädenswil and Adliswil. Parents can offer carpooling for other students on the same campus as their children. Employees can commute together. With this free service, ZIS is adding an additional step to enable its community to get better connected, reduce their carbon footprint and the number of vehicles on the roads.

ZIS cares for our planet and a sustainable future for all. It doesn’t just teach students what sustainability is, it leads by example. This is why ZIS wants to enable its employees and parents to leverage the corporate carpooling solution HitchHike. It will enable them to form carpools for their commutes to ZIS campuses and reduce their carbon footprint. With a reduced number of vehicles, traffic around the ZIS campuses will be greatly reduced.

As a school, ZIS recognizes the challenge of traffic congestion around its campuses during peak hours, which can cause delays, safety hazards, and increased air pollution. It believes that carpooling can be an effective solution to alleviate traffic congestion and create a safer and more sustainable environment for everyone. By encouraging parents and employees to carpool, ZIS can reduce the number of cars on the road and promote a more seamless flow of traffic around its campuses in Wädenswil and Adliswil. The school believes that carpooling is a practical and necessary step.
